Community Wins: How Our Amazing Sponsors Helped Launch a New Era of Alvernia Youth Basketball

Learn more on our website.

It takes a village to raise a child... and it takes a community to build opportunities for them to grow.

This summer, something special has been happening at the Alvernia University Plex.

The Alvernia Youth Basketball 3v3 Summer Showdown wasn't just a series of tournaments. It marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter as Alvernia Women's Basketball Head Coach Rayne and Alvernia Men's Basketball Head Coach Jason O'Connell joined forces to create a youth basketball experience centered on fun, skill development, sportsmanship, and community.

But none of it happens alone.

Behind every championship ring, every game-winning basket, every new friendship, and every smile on the court was a community of businesses that stepped forward to say:

"We believe in our local kids."

Thank You to Our Incredible Community Sponsors

Because of these generous businesses, hundreds of young athletes were able to enjoy an unforgettable summer filled with basketball, teamwork, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Each sponsor invested in something much bigger than a tournament.

They invested in confidence.
They invested in teamwork.
They invested in healthy competition.
They invested in creating positive experiences for local children.

More Than Sponsorship...A Partnership

One of the most exciting parts of this summer was watching a true partnership begin to take shape.

Coach Rayne and Coach Jason didn't simply open the gym for basketball tournaments. They welcomed families into the Alvernia community and created an environment where young athletes could learn, compete, and dream about what's possible through hard work and dedication.

The support from our local sponsors allowed this vision to become reality.

Together, local businesses, college coaches, volunteers, parents, and community members all played a role in making this first summer together a tremendous success.

Building Something Bigger

At Do It Local Berks, we often say:

Every Logoed Item Makes a Local Impact.

This summer proved exactly what that means.

Sponsor logos weren't simply printed on T-shirts or displayed around the gym. They represented businesses choosing to invest in their own community.

Those logos became part of championship photos, family memories, team celebrations, and experiences that children will remember for years to come.

That's the kind of marketing that creates something much greater than impressions.

It creates relationships.

Thank You, Berks County

To every parent who registered a team...
To every player who competed with heart...
To every volunteer who helped behind the scenes...
To Alvernia University for opening its doors...
To Coach Rayne and Coach Jason for bringing incredible energy to youth basketball...
And to every business that chose to sponsor this summer...

Thank you.

You continue to show what makes Berks County so special.

When businesses, schools, universities, coaches, families, and nonprofits come together with a common goal, amazing things happen.

We're already looking forward to what comes next.

Because when a community invests in its kids, everyone wins.

Thank you for believing in our youth. Thank you for believing in community. And thank you for helping create opportunities for the next generation to learn, compete, and grow. 🏀❤️
