Building Stronger Teams Through Local Support
There’s something special about basketball in our community. It’s more than wins and losses. It’s about relationships, role models, and rallying together around a shared love of the game. This season, a powerful local collaboration brought all of that to life in a simple but meaningful way.
InHome Oxygen teamed up with the Governor Mifflin School District High School Girls and Boys Basketball teams to sponsor season schedule magnets, making it easier than ever for fans to remember game days and show up loud and proud. These magnets weren’t just handy, they became a symbol of connection across generations of players.
With the support of the Mifflin Basketball Association (MBA), the magnets were distributed by High School Coach Garrett Etzel to local families and more than 400 youth basketball players in the program. That reach was intentional and powerful.
This collaboration aligns beautifully with Coach Etzel’s mission: encouraging MBA youth players to attend high school games, cheer on their future teammates, and form strong bonds with the athletes they look up to. When young players see athletes from their own school district competing, leading, and representing their community, it plants a seed. Dreams feel closer. Hard work feels worth it. Mentorship happens naturally.
There’s truly nothing like growing up admiring your own school district’s players, watching them hustle on the court, lead with integrity, and give back simply by being visible role models.
The basketball community is a remarkable place to grow. It fosters friendship and fun, builds leadership, and challenges kids of all ages to be their very best both on and off the court. When businesses step in to support that environment, the impact reaches far beyond a single season.
InHome Oxygen has long been a champion of basketball throughout Berks County. Their generosity opens doors, strengthens community ties, and supports athletes at every stage of their journey. Beyond sponsorships, they also play a vital role in caring for athletes who may need medical equipment throughout their careers, ensuring health and well-being stay a priority.
This partnership is a perfect example of how local support fuels more than schedules and seasons. It builds pride, connection, and a stronger basketball family.
Thank you, InHome Oxygen, for investing in our athletes, our youth, and the heart of our community. Your support makes game days easier to remember and community bonds impossible to forget. 💙🏀
